OFF!

Off is the new band Kieth Morris of Circle Jerks and Black Flag fame started after a couple of boring years playing with the Circle Jerks. I had my doubts when somebody told me, "It sounds just like Black Flag!" I thought 30 year old watered down hardcore was what i was gonna get. I checked em out, and have to say the first 4 e.p's box set is one of the coolest Records I've scored this year. Off also features members of 'Red Kross' and 'Hot Snakes'. The songs are all around a minute, and leave you with little time to think between each blast of ripping California punk rock. So what if its on Vice records, this band is the real fucking deal, go out and get it!

Golden Dawn

Texas trips!!! here Golden Dawn's only album 'power plant', they were around the same time as 13th floor elevators, and were buddy's with them. if your into the elevators, you'll dig this. They only did one album before they broke up but its a keeper. tripped out Texan rock n roll, so grab a hit and get ready for the ride. this may not be as good as the elevators but it comes damn close, groove on the tune 'my time' and you'll see what im sayin.

Where have we been...

You may ask yourself why hardly any posts these days? Well i'll tell you why. I got an adult job. Yes a grueling paper cut alarm clock infused adult job. Pay cheques yay. Party nay. But on the up swing of things I am doing something out of the ordinary (for me) in my evenings. I decided to do what ever 20 something does when listening to music just isn't enough. I joined a band. Yes, it is Lous, Kevins, Matts and Tylers band too. Mostly theirs because i play tambourine and sing....soon to be playing organ...need me an organ. But a big thing and i mean HUGE thing is that our first show we are opening up for someone really fucking rad someone that i've put on this blog and someone who we've gone to go see. someone we own the records of and someone who's on our FAVE label. GONER RECORDS. Anyways enough said. March is soon approaching and we've gotta practice. The line-up is as follows....Ringo - Tambo. Lou - rhythm guitar. Matt - drums. Tyler (ricky bisniss)- bass. and Kevin - Lead guitar.



Party still happens on Saturday though. Since I get weekends off now...partying like the normals sucks. On another note Christmas is coming. My list is as follows....

Recording.

We recorded a song last nite and by we I mean Myself, Lou and Ty (our roomie). Lou has been making tapes lately so I decided to go along for the ride. I came home kinda drunk anyways so I was up for anything. Its been awhile since i've posted anything due to the fact that I just got a real life adult job. Yep. I starting to grow up...but no matter I'm only gonna grow up a little.
